Reviews: Benton Snail Bee Ultimate Serum + Namerakahonpo Isoflavone Soy Milk Cream

Snail, bees, and soy milk, oh my! When Stylevana approached me for a collaboration, I was so excited that I could choose which products to review. What I picked? A mix of K-beauty and J-beauty of course!

Benton Snail Bee Ultimate Serum
I am a big fan of snail mucin and its moisturizing and soothing effects on my skin, but had lukewarm feelings about the texture of the product I was using. So I was looking for a product which would give me similar benefits, but in a serum to layer with my favourite moisturizer. What I did not expect: to wake up with such an amazing glow the morning after I first used it! I have been using this serum almost every day, and can really tell the difference when I forgo it: my skin isn’t as hydrated, and the fine lines on my forehead are more noticeable. Using this serum has really made me want to try other items from the Snail Bee line (hello, Hydrogel Eye Patches!), and really cemented the fact that I will likely always have a snail product in my routine from here on out.

Namerakahonpo Isoflavone Soy Milk Cream
I use many different serums and toners, in my routine, so for my moisturizer step, I’m often just looking for something fairly plain. Yes, I like AHAs, retinol, and all the other good stuff: I just prefer to play around with them in my other steps (unless I’m feeling lazy—in which case, bring on those night creams!). This cream feels like a medium thick balm that doesn’t spread as easily as other formulas, but penetrates almost instantly into my skin. It feels very comforting, and helps seal in all my other layers—kind of like I’m tucking in my skin for the night with a nice fluffy futon. I’ll likely be repurchasing this in the future!
