#Empties: Burt’s Bees, Caudalie, Kikumasamune, Vivier, and Drunk Elephant

I did a quick illustration of some recent empties. Over the past few years or so, I’ve been really making more of an effort to finish products I like down to the last drop, and I’d definitely use these five again!

Burt’s Bees Facial Cleansing Oil
This blend of coconut and argan oils is one of the better cleansing oils I’ve used. It feels nice and slippery, and gets everything off in one take, which is the main focus for me. And you can get it at the drugstore!

Caudalie Vinopure Purifying Gel Cleanser
I’ve only used this one a handful of times, as the Vinopure line targets blemish-prone combination skin… but it’s Blondie’s favourite. He swears by the Vinopure line and is on his fourth bottle of the serum. He was so excited when the cleanser was launched a few months ago, and I’m sure he’ll be repurchasing it.

Kikumasamune High Moist Lotion (菊正宗 日本酒の化粧水 高保湿)
I bought this over a year ago in Tokyo, and have used it pretty much twice a day, every day ever since (except when travelling). The 500 ml bottle is huge, and I plan to buy another one next time I go. It smells like sake, which made me doubt whether I’d continue using it at first, but I’ve gotten used to it, and I like how light yet moisturizing the product is as my first step after cleansing.

Vivier GrenzCine Serum
This serum is one of my favourite vitamin C serums, and I really noticed improvements in my skin while using it in terms of fine lines and overall brightness. I have another bottle stashed, and am looking forward to using it again, along with the eye cream from the same line.

Drunk Elephant B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum
Drunk Elephant had been on my radar for several years, and I finally had the opportunity to try several of the brand’s products this year. I like the lightweight gel texture of this hydrating serum, and how soothing it feels on the skin.
